Mr Fluffy Therapeutic Support Group
This free group provides a safe space for residents to connect, access support and information and share their experiences. The therapeutic group will be holding three groups within the month of June 2022, and each group runs for two hours at Favier House & Tenison Woods House, O'Connor.
The therapeutic support group is facilitated by clinicians including psychologists and mental health accredited social workers. The group framework is embedded in strengths-based recovery, utilising evidence-based practise to bring about a sense of hope and recovery. Participants are offered an opportunity to learn about the impacts of long term stress, explore helpful strategies and enhance support networks.
Attendance is voluntary and individuals can choose when and how they would like to engage with the support group.
Each session, the facilitators will cover different topics and skills that you can incorporate in your daily practices. See below is a list of the topics we will cover in the upcoming group sessions. Each session will run between 10:00 am to 12:00pm or 06:00 pm to 08:00 pm, morning tea/a light supper will be provided.
